About NotetakerCompare

NotetakerCompare publishes independent comparisons of AI meeting-notetaker tools — Otter.ai, Fireflies.ai, Fathom, tl;dv and others — for remote and hybrid teams deciding which one to buy. It is an independently owned website and is not owned by, or endorsed by, any of the vendors it covers.

What we do

We compare price, free-tier limits, sales features and privacy and security claims. Every figure is checked against the vendor's own pricing or security page where we can reach it, and against at least two independent sources where we can't. Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking a number. Every article shows the date it was last verified.

What we don't do

We don't run hands-on lab tests of these tools, and we don't publish user reviews or testimonials. Our comparisons rest on the vendors' published pricing, feature and security pages and on independent sources. Research and drafting are done with the help of AI tools, and the figures are checked before publication.

How the site is funded

Some links on this site are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. We currently have an affiliate relationship with Fireflies.ai and may join tl;dv's program. Otter.ai and Fathom do not pay cash commissions, so we earn nothing from them. Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and leave a dated note in the article rather than editing it away. Our methodology page describes how we research each comparison and lists the corrections we have made so far.
